Quick Announcement and A Favor….

The last few months have been way busier than usual. I’ve been engrossed in finalizing this huge new project that I’ve been working on, as well as producing two brand new coaches education videos.

In fact, if you are a Platinum Elite Lifetime member of TheGymnasticsCoach.com, you’ll find those two videos already added to your online account in the members’ only area. Look for “Uneven Bar Complexes” and “Line Drills & Station Drills – Teaching Excellence.”

Anyway… I’ve been incredibly preoccupied with this massive new project. As many of you may know, I’m all for slowing down and enjoying the good things in life. Red wine is a particular favorite of mine and I recently took a quick break to tour Napa in December. But in this case, being incredibly busy is actually a good thing.

This is the first time I’ve mentioned this project publicly…

but I’ve been working behind the scenes on it for well over a year now. I was crawling along at a snails pace up until about three months ago. That’s when it hit me…

that the New Year was fast approaching… and you know what that means!

I’ve talked to at least a dozen people over the past two weeks alone who are vowing that 2015 is going to be their year to finally take action. They really want to improve the quality of gymnastics they are coaching and the results that their athletes achieve.

I’m a big fan of making and KEEPING resolutions. So I started saying “no” to other commitments so that I could finalize all the pieces of this particular project in time to get it released in January…

I really want to make 2015, the best year ever for women’s gymnastics coaches!

The reason I’m so excited about this new project is that it is entirely focused on answering the one question that keeps me awake at night…

How can I help talented coaches (like you?) to get better results from your athletes faster? In other words, what exactly does it take to finally become a recognized success story, a “go-to” coach in your own Club, or in your State, Region, Country… even the World?

It’s hard for me to believe sometimes that it’s been over 35 years now since I transitioned from college athlete to gymnastics coach, to club owner and now, finally, I’m humbled to have served as the 2012 U.S. Olympic, and 2011 World Team Head Coach. What an honor that was, and a long time in the making to be sure!

Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to talk to literally thousands of coaches just like you. Coaches who understand, as I do, that it really is possible to achieve the dream of seeing the athletes you spend countless hours (years) coaching, finally realize the success that all their hard work deserves…

And for the coaches and clubs themselves to realize their own success for guiding their athletes down the right path, for providing all the necessary strategies, and the training and tough love required to help an athlete achieve.

I’ve also had the good fortune to work with and learn from some of the masters in the field of women’s gymnastics coaching. People like Martha Karolyi, Valerie Liukin, Liang Chow, Todd Gardner, Tom Forster, Tammy Biggs and more.

And I’ve spent years – 35 to be exact – studying coaches around the world for useful strategies and ideas, many of which have gone into hundreds of pages of blog articles, USECA and USAG publications and most notably my 24 Video library of “Success Videos” for gymnastics coaches. Just when I think there can’t possibly be another strategy or method to teach, some coach makes a special request and bam … we have content for a new video.

The point is, that during these past 35 years I’ve amassed an incredible amount of knowledge, skill, and information that has assisted in the development of a very successful gymnastics system. This is a gymnastics system that proudly and consistently produces athletes that are competitive, inspired, technically sound and most importantly successful. So why would any of this possibly keep me up at night?

Simple. It’s one thing to know all this stuff it is quite another to put it to use. I’ve seen the benefits, and now want to share them with you. For the longest time, my challenge was figuring out how to take all of this knowledge and package it in a way to assist all inspired coaches. My biggest frustration in the early years of coaching was that there were very few accomplished coaches who were willing to share their methods and ideas. I want to change that. I have reaped the benefits of experience and now my number one goal is to help others do the same.

Over the years, I have been asked to provide coaches education at Coaching Congresses all over the United States, Australia, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Panama, Slovenia, and many more.

During that time, I developed a library of “Success Videos” on the various topics of coaching. These have been very popular with coaches from all over the world. But something was still missing….

Well… to make a long story short, I’ve figured it out. It’s taken a long time, and it’s been a lot of work putting it together, but I have now built a full-out “gymnastics coaching system” that progresses step by step, answers all your questions as you go, and will take your coaching to the next level… and I’ll even be there to guide you along.

This package is not quite ready for release as I have a few more specifics and last-minute details to get nailed down. For one thing, I’m trying to decide how many people I can accommodate. I certainly don’t want to raise expectations and then not be able to meet those obligations. And the last thing I want is a bunch of disappointed coaches on my hands!

But I do need to ask you a favor….

Do you have one minute to help me, help you, take your coaching to the next level?

I need your help real quick…

You see, I like to think I’ve covered all of the elements of my new “Gymnastics Coaching Success System.” In fact, I’m thrilled to say that after over a year of hard work I’m just about to finalize everything and get the online videos released, DVDs duped and printing to the printer…

But before I do, I want to make sure I’ve covered all the bases. This is where you come in…

I want to know what your thoughts are about successes and struggles in coaching gymnastics. Particularly what you think I need to cover in this course to make it most helpful for YOU!
